Make Your Ordinary Trip Seem Mysterious

5 Travel No-No's

1. Don’t go to the same place twice. There are 196 recognized countries around the globe – go see as many as you can. “The world is a book and those who do not travel only read one page”

Morocco travel

2. On a business trip don't just go where you're planned - go early and take a side trip somewhere to recharge. I went to China for work and went early to spend the weekend visiting temples in Cambodia on my last business trip.

3. Don't stay in the confines of a resort or hotel for your whole trip (no matter how nice). You cannot understand the otherness of places you have never encountered.

4. Don’t eat or drink what you do at home. Your palette and mind should be stretched by the world’s diversity.

India food and spice

5. Don’t wear jeans or worse a business suit when flying. Have you heard of deep vein thrombosis?  Wear breathable clothes designed specifically for travel for the plane: Stick with moisture-wicking wear (I’d recommend with zippered pockets, lest you drop your wallet or passport).
